With a deep love for our community and a desire to help children and families thrive, Silver Dollar City Foundation was founded in 1996 as a 501c(3) private foundation.
In its early years, the foundation provided financial support to youth and adult ministry programs, early childhood education, youth mentoring and projects dedicated to strengthening families.
Today, the Foundation works with 14 local school districts to help children and families in Stone and Taney counties. The Foundation’s core projects include Care For Kids and Hope Grants.
Care For Kids is dedicated to meeting the immediate, physical needs of area children. By providing unrestricted funds to districts, schools have the financial resources they need to quickly meet needs as they arise. During the 2023-2024 school year, Care For Kids funds met the clothing needs of 1,090 children; funded medical, vision or dental needs for 380 kids; helped 679 students participate in school activities; purchased school supplies for 1,533 students; were used to purchase food for 663 children; and helped 479 families pay for rent, utility bills, car repairs or purchase fuel.
Hope Grants are designed to do just what the name implies – give Hope. Whether it is inspiring hope through early childhood education programs or by giving families hope by strengthening the family bond, it’s all about Hope for the future.
Funding for Silver Dollar City Foundation is made possible through financial support from Silver Dollar City, Showboat Branson Belle, White Water, Woodland Hills Family Church and others.
